Based in Orange County, Bryan Starr maintains an active presence in the local business community. In a role as Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, he engineered workforce development efforts and worked closely with local companies in defining organizational and policy priorities. Named as among Orange Council Business Journal’s “500 Most Influential” for five consecutive years, Bryan Starr was an effective spokesman and government policy advocate within a region that represents in effect the fourth-largest economy worldwide (California).
A San Diego State University political science graduate, Mr. Starr interned in Washington, D.C., with the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means. He held responsibilities as deputy executive officer with the Building Industry Association of Orange County BIA/OC from 2005 to 2011, and advocated successfully in areas such as land development and residential construction. An effective communicator, he forged robust coalition partnerships that spanned government agencies, business groups, public opinion leaders, and public officials. Mr. Starr ended his tenure with BIA/OC as president and worked in tandem with the board to attain policy objectives, while maintaining a balanced operating budget.
Bryan Starr has also engaged as Orange County Business Council as senior vice president government affairs. In 2018, he was named Executive of the Year by the Western Association of Chamber Executives.
